How it all started

Let me tell you a bit about myself.

My marketing journey was not something you would call direct or straightforward. By my late teens, I had my life plan set out – I wanted to set up a building construction company and be my own boss. My study of Civil and Structural Engineering was a good foundation for that, but the business aspect was missing. I decided to convince my parents to pay for an additional degree in Business and Marketing.

I made a 45 minute presentation to my own parents to convince them to invest in my studies, which was my first ever pitch. Thankfully it was a success, my father agreed with a big grin on his face and I went off to study Business and Marketing. 

Having completed three degrees, it was time to gain experience. I looked for work in my native Poland but was told, on several occasions, that I was overqualified. I couldn’t find anything and it was a blow, but then something amazing happened. 

A recruitment company from UK invited me to come for five interviews and soon I was starting my life and career in England. For the first four years I worked as a structural engineer but I realised quite quickly that the pace of engineering would not suit my personality. I love human interaction, fast paced environments and mounting pressure, this is where I perform best. So after trying engineering, I turned to marketing and I’ve not looked back since.

Needless to say, I’m not planning to have a building construction business anymore. I found my niche, my love and my passion; marketing. And I have demonstrated my strength in it for the last 14 years.  

Not your average marketeer.

I have a technical brain, I speak five languages and I’ve worked for a number of global organisations. And I believe in the power of marketing. 

Successful marketing allows us to influence emotions, moods and ultimately purchase choices. It is dynamic, exciting and forward-thinking. When planned and executed well, it can deliver tangible results that have a real impact on the bottom line for any business. Yes, even yours.

It doesn’t matter if you just start thinking about marketing or have a strategy in place and want to review it. My promise to you is to not baffle you with jargon, nor try to push irrelevant marketing tactics on you, especially when we both know your customers are not ready for it. Instead, I will identify areas of improvement, point out the easy wins and set a realistic, tangible plan of action.

  • I completed BEng and MEng qualifications in two different countries, at the same time
  • I have worked for British, German, Japanese and Swedish B2B organisations
  • I’ve held senior marketing positions for 14 years, including the highest ranking female in the world for a leading global manufacturer 
  • I was interviewed live on BBC Breakfast by Steph McGovern
  • I sit on the Exhibition Committee of MACH, UK’s biggest manufacturing exhibition 
  • I managed and were responsible for the organisation of three EMO exhibitions each with a stand size over 3000m2
  • I grew up in communist Poland and had secret English lessons as a child under the guise of a tea party
  • I am married and live in Stratford upon Avon
  • I love animals and have two dogs called Biffer and Bubba, a cat called Sethi and am working on having a hamster:)
  • I’m a petrol head with a passion for Formula 1 and I change my cars like gloves
